When most people think of manifestation; they associate it with wielding their personal energy to call in more money, their soulmate, a dream job, travel, or exciting opportunities.
Of course, all of this is very true and are all fantastic, beautiful things to energetically align to and attract.
However, don’t forget you can use manifestation for the small things; the simple everyday things that experiencing would make your life just a little bit easier.
First things first, I want you to know that you are not bothering the Universe by asking for small things. Utilizing Universal energy does not have to be reserved solely for the big “important” things.
In fact, the art of manifesting isn’t even something you turn on and off. Manifestation works through energy, and since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it’s always in effect.
Think of it like the Law of Gravity: you can’t turn gravity on and off, therefore you can’t ever turn the Universal Energy laws, like Law of Attraction and Law of Vibration off either!
Every thought, every feeling, every spoken word, every action you have all hold an energetic vibration, so with everything you feel/think/do you are sending energy out into the universe and thus attracting back to you!
It’s always on - so why not use it for daily convinces?
For example: When I used to commute to my corporate job, I’d have to drive to the train station to take the train into the city.
Since it was 6 in the morning, I’d always be rushing because getting up that early never vibed with me and I’d always snooze my alarm until the last second possible. So, as I was getting ready, I’d visualize the street I had to drive down being filled with all green lights. I’d thank to the Universe for a quick, easy ride.
On days I’d actively remember to do this, it’d work say 9/10 times. And on the one chance it wouldn’t work, the train would wind up being late anyway so I’d stillmake it on time! Thanks Universe!
On the reverse side of my commute, I’d have to take a train to get back to the main train to get back to my hometown / car. And usually, the first train would be late which would cause me to miss the main train (or just have sprint at full speed through Penn Station just to make it - such a fun three years of my life🙃 lol I'm VERY glad I manifested my way out of there!). So, occasionally I’d remember to spend time throughout the day visualizing the trains being on time, feeling so grateful, repeating thank you, and imagining how relived I’d feel that the first train came on time which would allow me to have a slower, easy walk to make my second train.
Again, majority of times I remembered to do this, it’d work! And if it didn’t, I’d just have to accept that my energy alone wasn’t powerful enough to effect the trains … and maybe that was because someone else needed the train to be late in order to make it so they could make it home to their child’s birthday party or meet their friends for a movie or whatever. Remember, your energy isn’t the only one in the universe, so yes, do what you can, but know that if it doesn’t work, it’s just because there’s some other reason, or someone else’s energy overpowering yours.
Also in that two train corporate job, I had some real difficult co-workers. Nightmares, some of them. But I realized that lots of times my energy was sofocused on how mean they were and how annoyed or hurt I’d feel in their presence. Because “your focus determines your reality” (Qui-Gon Jinn, Star Wars) my focus on how much I didn’t want to see them was exactly why I was receiving more of them being the worst.
So, instead, I chose to focus that their energy couldn’t effect me and it’d be an easy work day no matter what. I’d imagine that the mean co-workers would leave me alone; they’d be quiet, they wouldn’t need to interact with me for any reason, and that everyone would be civil and nice.
And every time I did, the mean co-workers would in fact spend all day quiet or wouldn’t even be there that day, and the nice ones would be in instead! It was magical.
I honestly think I first realized this trick before I even fully understood manifestation. Back in high school when I was a competitive swimmer. My coach drove us hard, and sometimes our 2 hour practices were beyond exhausting with no breaks.
But I had this one swimsuit that was super comfy and my teenage self declared: “whenever I wear this, it’ll be an easy practice.” And sure enough, every time I wore it, it’d wind up being an easy practice. I just knew in my heart and it’d always happen to be so.
Your expectations truly can make all the difference.
In college freshmen year, before I made my solid group of besties, I decided to use manifestation to create plans! I remember on Fridays and Saturdays declaring to the Universe: someone will text me with plans tonight! Someone will ask me to hangout! I'd feel so grateful for it and I'd just know without a doubt someone would. I'd leave it open to whomever, I'd never picture a specific person. Anytime I did it, it'd always work! Sure enough at some point that evening, someone, either a friend from class or a friend from the dorm, would either text me or pop by and invite me to join their plans! So you can use manifestation for fun as well!
More recently, on Valentine’s Day my boyfriend and I were planning on going ice skating. It was a Monday, but I still visualized an empty ice rink and thanked the Universe for it…and sure enough when we got there, we were maybe two of six people there, total. It was awesome.
I also recently took pictures at the Floral Escape, a photo installation place, and going there was a saturday morning- the saturday morning before mother’s day, and this exhibit was in the mall, so definite crowding. However, I did panic and worry about it being crowded, I visualized the plan empty..and again, when we showed up we were the only people there. A few other girls came towards the end, but for the most part we were there entirely alone.
So use manifestation to make places you want to go empty! Use it to make your co-workers leave you alone. Use it to make your commute better and day easy! Use it for whatever thing you want!
Maybe you want to ask the Universe to help you find 30 extra minutes to take a hot bath and relax. Maybe imagine yourself receiving a free coffee or tea so you don’t have to go out of your way to get one! Maybe just declare people will be nice to you today. Maybe just before your day starts visualizing everything going your way and see yourself later that night returning to bed smiling because of how great your day was.
All you have to do is set your intentions, visualize what you want, really see it in your mind’s eye and really feel it in your heart.
Feel how excited and relieved and happy you’d feel when it’d happen. Say “thank you” to the Universe and know the second you’ve put it out there, it’s going to happen. <3
