Since the Sun shifted into Virgo season, I’ve found myself being more uncharacteristically hypercritical or myself, feeling frustrated, and confused on what my next step should be. As a Virgo sun, usually Virgo season is very empowering for me … but with Mercury Retrograde (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo) plus this Pisces Full Moon (Pisces is opposite the zodiac wheel as Virgo) , that’s a perfect explanation why someone like me with a Virgo sun especially feels a little off.
I think it’s so interesting as humans we can feel off out of nowhere, but then when we look to the skies and astrology there’s always a solid explanation for why.
I think there’s also a greater lesson here and that’s to understand that life is cyclic. While we’d love to be happy and on the high vibe frequency all the time … we’re not going to be. We each are going to experience downs and frustrations and that’s perfectly okay. That’s where our growth is.
Our growth comes from the challenging times. It also forces us to make a change, either a big physical change, or just a change in our mindset.
For me, I feel this current off-energy was calling for me to change my mindset.
This morning in my meditation, I felt this answer come through so loud and clear:
“If you already had your biggest dream come true, you wouldn’t be worried about it.
You’d be calm and confident and celebrating!”
Remember, every thought and feeling we have holds an energetic frequency… and that frequency is projected into the energetic field of our universe and creating our reality.
Therefore, when you worry about not having something, you’re telling the universe it’s not your reality, you don’t believe, and thus you’ll receive more of it not being yours.
But when you confidently celebrate it like you know it’s your reality - it’s only a matter of time before it’ll manifest for you!
Now, this very much is a message I inherently know deeply and have used to manifest many massively cool things into my life … but for these two things I’m currently trying to manifest, I, for some reason, keep forgetting to let go of the worry & embody having it…
I think with somethings we want, especially when we have to wait for divine timing, it can be trickier for us to remember to surrender - we are human after all and our human brains will get in the way…
But those moments are when it calls for us more to remember who our soul really is & that the universe truly has our back & we’re not sent here to fail.
So, I think this time period was just calling me back to reconnect, to reclaim my power, and truly dedicate myself to embodying these new things I want … in the same way I was able to manifest previous things I wanted.
In moments like this, here’s what helps me feel re-empowered and stick to trusting and embodying what I want is already mine.
Meditate/ Feel gratitude every single morning. At the end of July I was sick, so I skipped this morning practice, and then recently I went on vacation, so I also skipped this practice, and I know anytime I skip over it, I begin to feel more stressed and the worrying side of my Virgo sun comes out. So, in order to continue to believe and feel empowered, I make sure I take a few moments in the morning to clear my mind, to cleanse my energy, and to list everything I’m grateful for. I then proceed to visualize what I want and repeat “thank you” over and over again. I do this for however long I have time for … sometimes it’s 5 minutes , sometimes I’m lucky and have nothing to do that day so it’s an hour. Either way, sticking to this practice consistently helps me so incredibly much.
Journal! As a writer, there’s something so helpful about handwriting out my affirmation and gratitude. While yes, I like to think these in my head, I also love taking pen to paper after and writing out all the things I want to be/have/experience/feel. Every morning I fill out one day in my personal copy of my mindset journal Finding Joy in the Journey and then I like to take a big blank notebook and write a page of whatever I need. Sometimes it’s lol “I am” affirmations, sometimes it’s gratitude, sometimes it’s writing my manifestations in present tense. Usually, it’s all of the above!
Mini tea ceremony - I taught a bigger version of this for a class at Spirit and Soul Studio (check out the replay here!), but if I only have a few moments, and if I’m alone, I love to speak wishes and words of gratitude into my morning tea. (I also like to stir in these affirmations with these bestselling tea stirrers at Spirit and Soul Studio!). Water has memory, water absorbs the words we speak, so when we speak empowering wishes and words into our drink, it turns it into a magical potion, giving you a supercharged elixir.
Holding onto crystals. If I’m feeling anxious, I’ll hold onto black crystals like obsidian or onyx to absorb any negativity. If I want to feel wealthy, I’ll hold onto pyrite. If I want to feel lucky, I use sardonyx. If I want to manifest, I use malachite. Holding onto a crystal while you’re visualizing and intention setting really helps not only amplify your vibes, but I personally find it helps make me feel better.
Energy cleanse before bed! This one is super important. Throughout our day, we interact with so many energies, so having a regular routine to clear out anything that is lingering in your aura is crucial. Every night before I go to bed, I wave my selenite wand around my aura, I sometimes use sage for smoke cleansing, I ask Archangel Michael to cut the cords and any energetic ties from anyone or anything that no longer serves me, I ask Saint Germaine to use his violet flame to cleanse my energy and visualize it so. I also do dry-dusting, which is the process of using your hands to dust yourself off to remove energy. I shake it out and ask the universe to remove any people’s thoughts and opinions of me both in-person and online. Sometimes, I’ll also give myself reiki before bed. Doing all or any of this regularly really helps me feel better as well.
Take a class! The ultimate thing that helps me feel better is to take another teacher’s class at Spirit and Soul Studio. Tiffany’s moon circles are my personal favorite, but all the teacher’s classes leave you feeling super empowered and uplifted and confident to manifest!
Receiving a reading is another great way to gain clarity and figure out what’s holding you back and how you can move forward. Of course you can book readings with me! For myself, sometimes I’ll give myself a reading and connect to my angels, or I’ll receive a reading from another psychic reader I know and trust and that alwayssss uplifts my mood.
Sound healing! I love listening to the artist Emiliano Bruguera on Spotify. They have all high vibe frequency playlists to connect you to abundance, to connect with spirit, to ease anxiety… just playing them throughout my day or while I’m driving help me feel much calmer and more confident as well.
Exercise or have fun! Another thing that makes me feel better is to get moving or to do something enjoyable (like play video games or draw or hangout with my fiancé!) Getting out of your head can really help turn things around as well,
And above all, I try to go with the flow.I set intentions for a good day, but if things go wrong, I look to understand the deeper reasoning behind it. I try to trust any delays or setbacks are just redirecting me to something so much better. Everything is a lesson, and while it may be hard to see it in the moment, I really try to let go of letting something ruin my day and instead, choose to see things from my higher perspective.
Just know no downs last forever and there are always ways to make yourself feel more empowered and feel on track again. Just go with the flow and know you are strong enough and capable enough to handle anything. You aren’t sent here to fail. You deserve to win. And you are more than capable of manifesting that win. Seriously, you have sooooo much power! And the more you tap into that magic consistently, the more you can create your own magical reality.
