There’s a scene in Empire Strikes Back (yep, I’m starting with a Star Wars reference here 😂) where Luke is training with Yoda, and he’s trying to use the Force to raise his X-Wing out of the Dagobah swamps. He can’t do it. He says it’s impossible.
In response, Yoda then proceeds to seamlessly, do it himself.
Luke stares at him, mouth agape, shakes his head and says “I don’t believe it.”
To which Yoda replies, “That is why you fail.”
This is one of those beautiful moments where movies mirror real life.
We’re always manifesting. Manifestation is not something you turn on and off; it’s not a practice, its woven into the very fabric of our existence.
Therefore how we feel, how we think, and most importantly what we believe is always being projected into our energy field and returning to us as our perceived reality.
Luke failed to complete the task because he believed it was impossible. Yoda completed the same exact task because he knew it was possible.
You’re only ever going to receive what you believe is possible for you and you’re never going to receive what you believe is impossible for you.
Your brain doesn’t want you to ever think you’re crazy or wrong, so it’s going to specifically find examples to prove you right. It’s going to attract so much evidence to support your internal belief system, no matter what that is.
If you believe all relationships fail - your brain is going to find and attract in examples of couples divorcing; you’re going to see bitter breakup posts, you’re going to hear people complain about love in every way possible, and you’re going to attract dates and partners that are incompatible and thus ultimately your relationship will fail.
But, if you switch your focus and choose to believe that there’s plenty of people in happy relationships - you’ll be amazed as you are suddenly going to start noticing more engagements and marriages, happy couples giggling and laughing in public, excited stories from friends (or even overheard stories from strangers) about new love blossoming. In this mindset, you’ll be more likely to attract a compatible partner in love.
Whatever you believe, is what you are going to see and energetically attract more of. Period.
Your beliefs are everything. Mastering your belief system is the very thing that will propel you into finally manifesting what you want.
Therefore in manifesting, it’s not waiting until you see change to believe in it, it’s believing the change is inevitable, it’s happening, it’s already done, in order to see it fully manifest into your reality.
The best way to help yourself truly believe is to figure out what beliefs you’re harboring.
Go through each area of your life: Love, Career, Money, Health, Friends/Family, Fun, etc and analyze what pattens you’re experiecing and thus that’ll help you get to the root of what your beliefs are.
Once you’ve figured out what your beliefs are, the ones that don’t serve you, find examples in life to prove them wrong.
Say you started your own business but it’s been so hard for you to make money. You realize this is because deep down you believe: it’s impossible to make money doing what you love; work has to be hard and horrible.
So, you look to friends, to family, to social media influencers, to celebrities, to anyone you’ve ever encountered and ask yourself - has anyone on this planet ever made money doing what they love?
The answer there is YES.
So, if it’s possible for them, why on Earth wouldn’t it be possible for you?
We are all inherently born worthy of everything and anything. No one is born more worthy than anyone else. We all have unlimited potential. Sure, some of us may have had and still have more to overcome than others, but anything is still possible for anyone. We’re all so worthy.
So, now that you’ve proven it’s a lie - you can even go further and say “When did I decide this belief was true? Where did I pick this belief up?”
Did you get this belief from your parents? From your friends? From society as a whole?
and most importantly (this one comes from Tony Robbins) ask yourself: are you the first person in the world to ever have this belief?
The answer is almost always: NO!
So, if it’s not your original thought, why should it ever hold any power over you?
You picked It up from somewhere and you started telling yourself that belief, that story, on repeat. So, if you picked that negative belief up and cemented as your truth - you can surely pick up a new, empowering positive belief and cement thatas your truth!
Now, that you’ve cleared that out - ask Archangel Michael to cut the cords of this belief, imagine it dissolving away and being replaced by beautiful, rainbow light.
And now you can create a new belief!
So say you cleared out that old belief of not being able to make money doing what you love - create your new belief as an empowering affirmation. Make it something like: “I am so grateful I get to make money doing what I love everyday! I am always divinely supported. The more I follow what lights me up, the more I become a magnet to money!” Whatever feels good to you!
You can do this with every area of your life, and keep repeating and most importantly, embodying those affirmations as often as possible.
If you’re trying to make more money, believe you already have a larger number in your bank account.
If you’re trying to manifest love, believe you already have the soulmate.
If you’re trying to manifest travel, believe you’re already there.
Believe not only is it possible for you, but believe it’s inevitable for you. And embody that version of you who knows without a doubt its going to work out.
Now, you may not see a change within 24 hours. You may not see a change within a week, a month, even a year. But that’s where faith truly comes in.
Keep believing, relentlessly. Keep believing even if you’re not seeing - especially if you’re not seeing. The more you believe, the more you show the universe that you have faith and that you fully, whole-heartedly trust, the more likely it will come true.
The universe operates on its own schedule so have faith it’ll happen when it’s meant to (in true divine timing), but that above all it absolutely will happen.
I had a dream 12 years ago that only recently came true! (Can’t wait to share in the future!)
No matter how long it takes, just keep believing, keep knowing, it’s yours.
Because, just like Luke, if you don’t believe it that’s the only way you’ll fail.
If you keep believing and embodying and knowing, that absolutely sets you on the path to make your success absolutely inevitable.
